About me
Welcome! I'm Megan, the creative mind and hands behind Humdrum Boutique. My journey into the world of polymer clay began several years ago when my eldest daughter was small. Immersed in motherhood, I found little time for myself and sought a hobby I could enjoy at home. What started as crafting charms for myself quickly evolved into making jewelry for friends and family, as well as mini figures for my daughters and their friends to play with. Now, my creative pursuits have expanded to include other materials such as resin and recycled items. Having recently completed my university education and with my youngest starting full-time school, I find myself with extra time to dedicate to what I enjoy, and so I have transformed my garage into a design studio, and I’m excited to share my creations with the rest of the world.

My inspiration
Living along the stunning North Wales Coast provides an endless source of inspiration from the beauty of the world around me. The vibrant colors, rich textures, and diverse wildlife found in nature influence many aspects of my work. I'll often get asked to design/upcycle unique items, sparking new ideas and projects, and the boundless creativity of my wonderful children fuels some of my most ambitious and imaginative endeavors, with their fresh perspectives and uninhibited ideas constantly inspiring me to push the boundaries of my art.

Introducing my studio mascots

Rolo joined our family about three years ago and is now around four years old. He loves to be involved in my work, often coming into the studio to either sit and watch me create or curl up on my lap for a nap. His favorite snack is ham, and he prefers to spend his time napping next to the fish pond.
Rolo
We found Alfie a little over a year ago. Although he is around 11 years old, he has the playfulness of a young puppy. Alfie loves being the center of attention and is always eager for cuddles or playtime with his toys outside. When he's not sitting next to me, you can likely find him sunbathing in the garden or curled up inside his blanket.
